MOCKSVILLE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close a section of U.S. 158 in Mocksville for planned work beginning Aug. 11.
The closure will begin at 9 a.m. and is scheduled to remain in place through 4 p.m. Aug. 15, weather permitting.
Message boards will be installed ahead of time to alert drivers of the upcoming closure to minimize traffic disruption.
To help motorists navigate around the work zone, a signed detour will be provided along Country Lane and U.S. 601.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, use caution in the area and follow posted detour signs.
