STANFIELD – N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance crews are closing W. Stanly Street in Stanfield due to a pipe failure between Nature Lane and Oak Street from recent heavy rainfall.
Officials are gathering information to process an emergency work order to secure materials for repairs, currently estimated to take 4-5 weeks.
A signed detour will be in place along S. Love Chapel Road, River Road and Renee Ford Road back to W. Stanly St.
Drivers should remain alert, use caution, and prepare for delays.
