CHINA GROVE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close next week a stretch of Weaver Road near China Gove for two weeks, weather permitting.
Beginning the morning of Sept. 15, bridge maintenance crews are scheduled to close Weaver Road in both directions near Patterson Road to make repairs to a large drainpipe under the roadway that was damaged in a recent storm.
The road is scheduled to reopen by 3 p.m. on Sept. 26.
Motorists are encouraged to check DriveNC.gov for updates and follow the posted detour signage.
