BROADWAY - Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close a stretch of Broadway Road this weekend, weather permitting.
Beginning at 7 p.m. tonight, crews from Boggs Contracting Inc. will temporarily close Broadway Road east of Woodland Trails Road for trenching and pipe installation.
The road is scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11.
There will be a signed detour directing traffic to utilize Hunter Drive and Woodland Trails Road.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution when approaching the detour route, and check DriveNC.gov for real-time traffic information.
