ROCKY MOUNT – The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles’ Driver License office in Smithfield will temporarily close Aug. 12 and 13 so crews can perform office maintenance and repairs.
The office, located at 3783 U.S. Hwy. 310 S., in Smithfield, will reopen at 7 a.m. on Aug. 14. Customers with scheduled appointments at the Smithfield office have been rescheduled.
In the meantime, walk-in customers can visit the following offices on Tuesday and Wednesday from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. while the Smithfield office is temporarily closed:
• Clayton, 1665 Old U.S. Hwy. 70 W. (Shotwell Station)
• Goldsboro, 701 W. Grantham St.
• Garner, 222 Forest Hills Dr. (Forest Hills Shopping Center)
DMV offers driver license renewals and many other services online. Customers are encouraged to check the official DMV website at
NCDMV.gov to see if their driver license needs can be met online.
