UPDATE: N.C. 66 Widening Project Work Resumes Next Week in Forsyth County

WALKERTOWN – Beginning tomorrow, the contractor will close Next week, the contractor for the N.C. 66 Widening Project will begin the closure of the Darrow Road at the N.C. 66 (Old Hollow Road) intersection.
Darrow Road is scheduled to close to traffic beginning at 9 a.m. Aug. 11, through 4 p.m. Aug. 14.
The temporary closure is necessary to allow for the installation of a new sewer system as part of the ongoing construction.
The N.C. 66 widening project aims to improve traffic flow and infrastructure in the Walkertown area.
A signed detour will be in place to guide motorists around the closure.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and follow posted signage for alternate routes.
