WINSTON-SALEM – The N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance crews will begin alternate lane closures on Union Cross Road from Constantine Court to Whicker Road/Shields Road between Aug. 19 - 22, weather permitting.
Closures will take place daily from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. to minimize disruption to school traffic, then resume from 4:30 p.m. until dark.
This work is necessary to allow crews to widen the road and install a turn lane.
Significant traffic delays are expected and motorists are urged to plan ahead and follow posted signage.
