WINSTON-SALEM – A contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation will begin lane closures on Interstate 74 Northbound next week.
Between Sept. 8 and 12 from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily, drivers can expect alternate lane closures from Union Cross Road (Exit 56) to Ridgewood Road (Exit 59), weather permitting.
The closures are necessary to complete a traffic switch to a new roadway alignment.
Significant traffic delays are expected, and motorists are urged to plan ahead and follow posted signage.
