CONRAD HILL – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will close a short section of U.S. 64 beneath the N.C.109 bridge for two nights. The closures are necessary for the bridge replacement project at U.S. 64.
Closures will be in place 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night and U.S. 64 will reopen to its regular traffic pattern each morning, weather permitting.
During the closure, U.S. 64 traffic will follow signed detour using the adjacent ramps to bypass the work zone.
Additional signed detours will guide N.C. 109 motorists accessing either direction of U.S. 64.
Drivers are urged to use caution and allow extra travel time while traveling through the work zone.
