ROCKINGHAM – The N.C. Department of Transportation has awarded a $12.9 million contract to Blythe Construction Inc. to replace an aging bridge that crosses over the Dan River on Lindsey Bridge Road in Madison, NC.
Built in 1957, the 68-year-old bridge will be replaced with a new structure designed to meet current safety and infrastructure standards. Crews can begin construction as early as this fall, and the project is expected to be completed by the winter of 2028.
