SOUTHPORT – The N.C. Department of Transportation’s Southport-Fort Fisher ferry route will operate on a modified schedule Sept. 26 for a film production at the Southport terminal.
The crew plans to shoot scenes aboard the M/V Fort Fisher, one of two boats on the route.
The Southport-Fort Fisher route will operate on a modified, one-boat schedule from mid-morning through mid-afternoon. The route will run its regular fall schedule for commuters during peak times.
The route will operate on the following schedule Sept. 26:
- Southport to Fort Fisher: 5:30 a.m., 7 a.m., 7:45 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 4 p.m., 4:45 p.m., and 6:15 p.m.
- Fort Fisher to Southport: 6:15 a.m., 7:45 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 9:15 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:45 p.m., 3:15 p.m., 4:45 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 7 p.m.
The route will resume its regular, two-boat fall schedule starting at 5:30 a.m. Sept. 27.
