SALISBURY – Contract crews for the N.C. Department of Transportation will close a section of Henderson Grove Church Road for about a month for ongoing construction.
The closure will last from Oct. 6 to Nov. 4, weather permitting, in order for crews to complete the tie-in of the new Henderson Grove Church Road alignment to Ritchie Road.
Once the work is complete, all Henderson Grove Church Road traffic will use the new section.
During the closure, however, traffic will be detoured onto South U.S.29, Peeler Road, Interstate 85 and Peach Orchard Road.
Motorists are encouraged to follow posted signage and allow extra travel time during the closure.
