WILMINGTON - The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a portion of River Road in New Hanover County for resurfacing work beginning next week.
Crews will conduct nightly road closures of the roundabout at River Road and Sanders Road in Wilmington beginning at 9 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19. The road will close every night at 9 p.m. and reopen each morning at 6 a.m. The road and roundabout are expected to fully reopen Friday, Oct. 24 at 6 a.m.
Motorists should use caution when traveling near the work zone and follow the signed detour route.
