RALEIGH – The N.C. Department of Transportation recently awarded nearly a $3.8 million resurfacing contract to improve more than 6 miles of roadway to Blythe Construction Inc.
The contract includes improvements to Glenwood Avenue from Wade Avenue to Women's Club Drive near Interstate 440, as well as Lead Mine Road from Century Drive to Old Lead Mine Road. The work also includes upgrading the ramp from Wade Avenue to Glenwood Avenue.
The contractor can start as early as December with completion in summer 2027.
