FORSYTH COUNTY – The N.C. Department of Transportation recently awarded a $8.9 million resurfacing contract to improve more than a dozen roads and highways to APAC Atlantic Inc., Thompson Arthur Division.
The contract includes repaving in Clemmons, Bethania, Kernersville, Lewisville, Pfafftown, Walkertown, and Winston-Salem. The following sections will be improved:
- N.C. 66
- U.S. 158
- Country Club Road
- Bethania Rural Hall Road
- Lewisville Clemmons Road
- Linville Springs Road
- Baux Mountain Road
- Old Salem Road
- N. Cherry Street
- Transou Road
- Kernersville Road
- Fairlawn Drive
- Phillips Bridge Road
- Main Street
- Tanglewood Park Road
- Nature Trail Drive
The contractor can start as early as March 2026, and is expected completion by fall 2027.
