LENOIR – N.C. Department of Transportation crews will replace a pipe in Caldwell County this week.
Indian Grave Road will close near Bill Tuttle Road at 8 a.m. on Wednesday so crews can replace a pipe Hurricane Helene damaged. The larger-sized pipe will improve water flow, and a concrete headwall will provide structural support and protection from erosion.
The road is expected to reopen by 5 p.m. on Thursday. Drivers can take U.S. 321 then N.C. 268 to Indian Grave Road as a detour.
