GARNER – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation and N.C. Turnpike Authority will conduct slow roll traffic stops twice daily each day next week on U.S. 70 as part of the Complete 540 project.
From Nov. 17, through Friday, Nov. 21, law enforcement officers and construction crews will conduct the slow rolls about 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on U.S. 70 between Auburn-Knightdale Road and TV Tower Road.
Both directions of U.S. 70 will be stopped for up to 10 minutes during each operation to allow for construction activities related to grading and paving work. The stops are tentatively scheduled and may be adjusted depending on weather or site conditions.
