WALKERTOWN – A contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation will close Serene Street next week as part of the U.S. 158 widening project.
Serene Street will close on Dec. 2 at 9 a.m. and is expected to reopen by 4 p.m. Dec. 5, weather permitting.
The closure will allow crews to install a new waterline and storm drain system.
Motorists should allow extra time, use caution near the work zone, and follow all posted detours.
