WINSTON-SALEM – Contract crews for the N.C. Department of Transportation will close U.S. 52 Northbound at University Parkway for several nights, as part of the Hanes Mill Road widening project, weather permitting.
The left lane of U.S. 52 Northbound will close at 8 p.m. just south of Exit 115A, followed by a full closure of the northbound lanes at 11 p.m. All lanes of U.S. 52 will be reopened by 6 a.m. the following morning. The closure is scheduled Dec. 1 – 4.
The road closure is to facilitate the demolition of the existing Hanes Mill Road bridge over U.S. 52.
A signed detour will be in place to guide drivers around the construction.
