DURHAM – Maintenance crews from the N.C. Department of Transportation plan to close a section of Robbins Road near N.C. 98 to repair a stormwater crossline beneath the roadway.
Both directions of Robbins Road will be closed with only local traffic allowed to access Robbins Road from Sherron Road. The section of Robbins Road from N.C. 98 will be closed and inaccessible.
The closure will begin Dec. 8 at 8 a.m. and remain in place through Dec. 16 at 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Westbound traffic on N.C. 98 will detour to Sherron Road to Robbins Road.
Northbound Sherron Road traffic will detour to N.C. 98.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead, follow posted detour signs, and expect some delays while traveling through the area. NCDOT encourages drivers to remain alert and exercise caution as traffic patterns will be altered.
