RALEIGH - Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation plan to close an eastbound Interstate 440 ramp near Hillsborough Street tonight to complete paving as part of the I-440 improvements project.
Crews are set to close the collector-distributor exit to Hillsborough Street and Wade Avenue at 7:30 p.m., reopening 5 a.m. Thursday.
Traffic will detour to the Lake Boone Trail exit to take I-440 West back to Wade Avenue and Hillsborough Street.
Motorists are urged to follow posted signs and slow down and pay extra attention in the work zone.
