ROCKY MOUNT – The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles’ Driver License office (DLO) in Nags Head is closed for the next two weeks to allow for office building maintenance.
The current office, at 2808 S. Croatan Hwy. (U.S. Hwy. 158) in Nags Head, is scheduled to reopen on Dec. 29. All customers with appointments have been rescheduled.
In the meantime, four Driver License offices offer service Monday through Friday except for state holidays:
• Elizabeth City, 1164 U. S. Hwy. 17, from 7 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Edenton, 307 W. Freemason St., from 7 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Williamston, 305 E. Main St., Suite 116, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Washington, 1821 Carolina Ave. (U.S. Hwy. 17), from 7 a.m.-5 p.m.
All DMV offices will be closed Dec. 24-26 for the Christmas holiday.
DMV offers driver license renewals and many other services online. Customers are encouraged to check the official DMV website at
NCDMV.gov to see if their driver license needs can be met online.
