​JACKSONVILLE – The N.C. Department of Transportation has temporarily closed an Onslow County road for utility repairs.
N.C. 24 Business (Lejeune Boulevard) near U.S. 17 Bypass is closed while the City of Jacksonville repairs a sewer line. The road is expected to reopen by 5 p.m. Dec. 22, weather permitting.
Jacksonville traffic can use one of these two detours:
- N.C. 24 West to Bell Fork Road to West Huff Drive, to U.S. 17 Bypass South, exit N.C. 24 Business (Lejeune Boulevard)
- N.C. 24 West to Bell Fork Road to Hargett Street to N.C. 24 Business (Lejeune Boulevard)
Please note N.C. 24 West (Lejeune Boulevard) to U.S. 17 Bypass South is still open for travel.
