RALEIGH – The N.C. Department of Transportation plans to close a section Wade Avenue to remove a tree.
Crews will close both directions of Wade Avenue between Faircloth Street and Dixie Trail tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., weather permitting. Crews are proactively removing the tree to ensure it doesn't impact traffic.
Traffic on Wade Avenue will detour to Ridge Road and Churchill Road before returning to Wade Avenue at Dixie Trail.
Drivers should plan ahead as their commute may take longer and use caution when traveling near the closure.
