RALEIGH – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation plan to close the collector distributor ramp from I-440 East to Hillsborough Street and Wade Avenue for paving operations.
Crews will close the ramp at 8 p.m. Wednesday and reopen it at 5 a.m. Thursday, weather permitting.
Traffic will continue on I-440 East to the Lake Boone Trail exit, then take I-440 West back to Wade Avenue or Hillsborough Street.
Drivers should plan ahead as their commute may take longer and use caution when traveling near the closure.
