RALEIGH - The annual toll rate increase for the Triangle Expressway and Monroe Expressway will take effect Thursday, January 1, 2026.
RALEIGH – Annual Toll Rate Increase
- An increase of $0.12 from $4.05 to $4.17 if traveling the 18 miles of the original Triangle Expressway from N.C. 55 to I-40 in Durham.
- An increase of $0.14 from $4.19 to $4.33 if traveling the 18 miles of the new extension of the Triangle Expressway from N.C. 55 to I-40 in Garner.
- An increase of $0.04 from $2.92 to $2.96 if traveling a full-length trip on the Monroe Expressway.
Toll revenue is used to pay off bonds sold to fund construction, as well as support the operations and maintenance of each toll facility.
