RALEIGH – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation plan to close a section of Chaney Road near Western Boulevard for grading and roadway construction, weather permitting.
Crews plan to close Chaney Road Jan. 31 at 5 a.m. and it will remain closed through late March.
Drivers using Western Boulevard will detour to Kent Road, Garland Drive to access Chaney Road.
Drivers using Garland Drive will detour to Kent Road, Western Boulevard to access Chaney Road.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution in the area, follow posted detour signs and allow extra travel time.
