WELCOME – Maintenance crews with the North Carolina Department of Transportation plan to temporarily close Hege Road in Davidson County next week, weather permitting.
Beginning Monday morning, Hege Road will be closed near the intersection with South Union Grove Road for about two weeks to allow crews to replace a storm drain culvert beneath the roadway.
A signed detour will be in place to guide drivers around the closure using Hege Road, South Union Grove Road and Hartman Road. Motorists are encouraged to follow posted detour signs and use caution when traveling through the area.
The road is expected to reopen by Friday, June 13. In the event of inclement weather, the alternate dates for this work are June 9 through June 20.
