LEXINGTON – The N.C. Department of Transportation is set to perform a lane closure on Interstate 85 in Lexington starting Monday for maintenance.
Between Jan. 5-8, crews will close the right lane and shoulder of I-85 North between mile markers 88 and 89 near N.C. 47 for grouting operations.
The nightly closure of 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. is weather permitting.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead as their commute may take longer than normal and use caution when traveling around the work zone.
