SANFORD – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation are set to temporarily close a portion of Broadway Road for trenching and pipe installation, weather permitting.
Beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, crews from Boggs Contracting Inc. will close Broadway Road as part of an ongoing multi-lane roadway widening project. The road is scheduled to reopen Monday morning.
During the closure, residents will still have access to their driveways. A signed detour will be in place directing through traffic to utilize Avents Ferry Road, Longstreet Road and Woodland Trails Road.
