CHARLOTTE – Blasting operations will occur at a site near the Interstate 485/N.C. 49 interchange in northeast Charlotte on Friday afternoon.
From 2-2:30 p.m., crews with East Coast Drilling & Blasting will be performing blasting activities near the interstate at a site off N.C. 49, requiring some brief travel delays for safety.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol troopers will implement a rolling roadblock on I-485 Inner and Outer between Rocky River Road (Exit 36) and N.C. 49 (Exit 33) for approximately ten minutes until the area is clear and safe for drivers.
Message boards will be placed on I-485 to give drivers advance notice about the operations.
