WINSTON-SALEM – Contract crews for the N.C. Department of Transportation will close U.S. 52 near Hanes Mill Road next week as part of the Hanes Mill Road widening project.
U.S. 52 Northbound will close at 11 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday at University Parkway (Exit 115 A) and expected to reopen at 6 a.m.
On Jan. 15, U.S. 52 Southbound will close at 11 p.m. at Hanes Mill Road (Exit 116) and is expected to reopen the next morning. These closure schedules are subject to the weather and could be postponed.
These road closures are to facilitate the construction of the new Hanes Mill Road bridge over U.S. 52.
A signed detour will be in place to guide drivers around the construction.
