NCDOT to Hold Public Meeting on Clemmonsville Road Bridge Replacement

WINSTON-SALEM – The public is invited to attend a public meeting on Jan. 14 on plans to replace the bridge on West Clemmonsville Road over Interstate 285/U.S. 52 in Forsyth County.

As part of this project, the proposed bridge will include two 12-foot lanes in each direction, a 12-foot center turning lane, 5-foot bikes lanes, and 5-foot sidewalks.

The meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Georgia Taylor Neighborhood Center at 1471 W. Clemmonsville Road in Winston-Salem.

Representatives of the N.C. Department of Transportation will be on hand to answer questions and receive public comments.

The public is encouraged to submit comments at the meeting or online until Jan. 28 by calling 984-295-6615, enter code 2529 to leave a voice message; or emailing  clemmonsville-road-br​idge@publicinput.com.  People may also comment on NCDOT's public input portal.

All comments received will be reviewed and discussed by the project team and taken into consideration.

The total project cost is estimated at $18.5 million, with construction anticipated to begin in 2030.
