WINSTON-SALEM – Contract crews for the N.C. Department of Transportation will close U.S. 52 near Hanes Mill Road tonight.
U.S. 52 Southbound will close at 11 p.m., and is expected to reopen at 5 a.m. Wednesday, weather permitting.
This closure is needed to move construction equipment and materials from the median across the U.S. 52 Southbound lanes as part of the Hanes Mill Road widening project.
A signed detour will be in place.
