ROCKY MOUNT – The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles’ Driver License office (DLO) in Elizabeth City is closed this week to allow for building repairs resulting from the winter storm this past weekend.
NCDMV hopes to be able to reopen the office, at 1164 U. S. Hwy. 17 S. in Elizabeth City, on Feb. 9. All customers with appointments this week will be rescheduled.
In the meantime, customers can visit three nearby DLOs:
• Edenton, 307 W. Freemason St.
• Ahoskie, 1821 Carolina Ave. (U.S. Hwy. 17)
• Nags Head, 2808 S. Croatan Hwy. (U.S. Hwy. 158)
DMV offers driver license renewals and many other services online. Customers are encouraged to check the official DMV website at
NCDMV.gov to see if their driver license needs can be met online.
