GREENVILLE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will close two roads in Pitt County for bridge culvert replacements next week.
A section of Whichard Road near Sycamore Church Road will close beginning Feb. 9 and is expected to reopen Feb. 20.
A section of Black Jack Simpson Road over Bates Branch will close beginning Feb. 10 and is expected to reopen Feb. 27.
This work is weather dependent and could be rescheduled. Drivers should use caution when traveling near the area and seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
