Peters Creek Parkway Northbound to Close for Bridge Repairs Next Week

WINSTON-SALEM – The N.C. Department of Transportation crews will close northbound N.C. 150 (Peters Creek Parkway) at Clemmonsville Road next week to repair damaged bridge girders.

Crews will close the road beginning Feb. 9 at 9 a.m. Construction is expected to take about two weeks to complete, weather permitting.

The damage occurred when a tractor-trailer hauling an excavator struck the Clemmonsville Road overpass in January.

The repairs were postponed until warmer temperatures allowed crews to complete the work properly.

During the closure, traffic will be detoured by exiting at West Clemmonsville Road, traveling through the roundabout and accessing Peters Creek Parkway via the on-ramp.

Motorists are urged to use caution in the area and allow extra travel time.
