MOCKSVILLE – A contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation will close lanes on a portion of Interstate 40 in Davie County this week for construction work.
Tomorrow, the left lane in each direction will close from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. I-40 Westbound will close from mile marker 177 to 175, while the eastbound lane from mile marker 174 to 176.
On Feb. 11, the right lanes will close at the same location.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, use caution in the area and follow posted detour signs.
