Overnight Lane Closures Scheduled for I-40 in Forsyth County

​​WINSTON-SALEM – A contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation will close a lane of Interstate 40 overnight this week as part of the ongoing Winston-Salem Northern Beltway project.

Crews will install overhand jacks on bridge girders extended over I-40.

The following lane closures will occur nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., weather permitting:

Feb. 10: I-40 Westbound from Union Cross Road (mile marker 201) to High Point Road (mile marker 198).

Feb. 11: I-40 Westbound from Union Cross Road (mile marker 201) to High Point Road (mile marker 198).

Feb. 12: I-40 Westbound from Union Cross Road to High Point Road; I-40 Eastbound from High Point Road (mile marker 198) to Union Cross Road (mile marker 201).

Feb. 13: I-40 Eastbound from High Point Road (mile marker 198) to Union Cross Road (mile marker 201).

Motorists should plan for delays and drive with caution in the work zone.​
