CHARLOTTE – Beginning Monday, Feb. 16, N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will close Rodney Street between Westinghouse Boulevard and Royshall Lane to perform work associated with the I-485 express lanes project.
The closure will be in place by 6 a.m., remaining in place through mid-May. Crews will be installing a water line, performing full depth pavement reclamation and paving the road's final surface.
Drivers who access Rodney Street from Westinghouse Boulevard should take Downs Road south to N.C. 51, head east to N. Polk St., continue north to Industrial Drive, then head west to Rodney Street.
Drivers should be mindful of crews working in these locations and allow extra time to reach their destination.
