RALEIGH – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation plan to close a lane at Interstate 440 and Western Boulevard overnight.
The lane closure will begin on the I-440 West ramp (Exit 2) and extend onto Western Boulevard eastbound until the intersection of Method / Kent Road. The closure will start at 9 p.m. Friday and reopen Saturday afternoon, weather permitting. This work is part of the I-440 widening project.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead, allow additional travel time, and use caution when traveling through the work zone.
