WINSTON-SALEM – Construction is underway at the Interstate 40 interchange at Thomasville and Clemmonsville roads.
After completing utility work, crews have installed barrier walls along I-40 in preparation for bridge demolition and widening.
Beginning Feb. 19, the right lane on I-40 eastbound will close nightly from 9 p.m. - 5 a.m.
Clemmonsville Road beneath the bridge will be reduced to one lane with flagging.
Work is expected to last five nights excluding Saturday and Sunday and is expected to be complete by 5 a.m. on Feb. 26, weather permitting.
Drivers should use caution in the work zone.
