CHAPEL HILL – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation are scheduled to close a section of Millhouse Road for three weeks, weather permitting.
Millhouse Road will close from New Jericho Road to the cell tower driveway to allow crews to safely conduct bridge repair work. The closure will begin Feb. 23 at 4 a.m., and the road is expected to reopen to traffic on March 16 at 10 p.m.
A signed detour will be in place directing traffic around the closure via Eubanks Road and N.C. 86.
Drivers should be mindful of crews working in the area and allow extra time to reach their destination.
