RALEIGH – Contractors for the North Carolina Department of Transportation plan to temporarily close the ramp from Interstate 440 West to Western Boulevard for scheduled roadwork.
The ramp at Western Boulevard is scheduled to close Feb. 20 at 9 p.m. and is expected to reopen by the afternoon of Feb. 22, weather permitting.
Drivers will detour to the Melbourne Road exit to access I-440 East, then take the Western Boulevard exit.
Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes, allow extra travel time and use caution when traveling near the work zone.
