Construction on S-Line Advances
Crews began construction this week on the S-Line passenger rail's second grade separation project in Wake County.
To commemorate the milestone,
State Transportation Secretary Daniel Johnson joined federal and state partners for a media tour of the site.
The N.C Department of Transportation was awarded a more than $1 billion federal grant in December 2023 to design and construct the first segment of the S-Line from Raleigh to Wake Forest.

Ned Curran Interchange
Transportation officials unveiled signs near Charlotte this week honoring a man for his decades of service to North Carolina.
The recently opened Weddington Road interchange is now the Ned Curran Interchange.
Curran served on numerous boards and committees, including the state Board of Transportation, the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce and various councils.
