MORRISVILLE – The N.C. Department of Transportation recently awarded a $9.8 million contract to Raleigh-based Sunrock Industries LLC to extend Airport Boulevard from Garden Square Lane to Church Street.
The project will include grading, drainage, paving, traffic signals, and a culvert installation across Airport Boulevard.
Construction at the intersections of Town Hall Drive and Church Street is anticipated to start as early as this spring, with final completion expected in the winter of 2028.
For pedestrian safety, Indian Trail Greenway will be detoured onto Garden Square Lane during construction.
