All-Way Stop Coming to Alamance County Intersection

SAXAPAHAW – The N.C. Department of Transportation is set to install an all-way stop at an Alamance County intersection next week to improve safety, weather permitting.

On March 18, NCDOT crews will add pavement markings and stop signs along Lindley Mill Road where it intersects with Moores Chapel Cemetery Road. Currently, traffic on Lindley Mill Road does not stop at the intersection.

While crews install the all-way stop system, traffic may experience brief delays, but the intersection will remain open. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and use caution while traveling through the area.

An all-way stop is an effective and cost-efficient way to improve the safety of an intersection and reduce the risk of serious crashes. To learn more about all-way stops, visit this NCDOT webpage.
