GRAHAM – N.C. Department of Transportation crews are scheduled to close a section of Greensboro Chapel Hill Road next week, weather permitting.
Greensboro Chapel Hill Road will close between Coble Mill Road and Bass Mountain Road to allow crews to replace a bridge. The closure will begin at 9 a.m. Monday, and the road is expected to reopen by March 31.
A detour will be in place directing traffic around the closure via West Greensboro Chapel Hill Road to Pleasant Hill Church Road, then to Coble Mill Road before connecting with Coble Mill Road.
Access to driveways will be maintained throughout construction.
Transportation officials remind drivers to plan ahead, be alert to crews in the area and obey all posted traffic signs.
