MOCKSVILLE – A contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation will close the left lanes of Interstate 40 eastbound and westbound to allow crews to safely work beneath the bridge and install new asphalt pavement.
On March 27, the left lanes in each direction of I-40 will close from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The westbound lane will close between mile markers 177–175, and the eastbound lane between mile markers 174–176.
Motorists should expect delays and use caution when traveling through work zones.
