GRAHAM – N.C. Department of Transportation crews are set to close a section of Greensboro Chapel Hill Road next week to replace the bridge over Wells Creek.
Beginning April 6 at 9 a.m., Greensboro Chapel Hill Road will close between Coble Mill Road and Bass Mountain Road. The road is scheduled to reopen by 3 p.m. on May 7, weather permitting.
Local driveway access will be maintained throughout construction. Through traffic will detour around the closure via Pleasant Hill Church Road and Coble Mill Road.
Transportation officials remind drivers to plan ahead, be alert to crews in the area and obey all posted traffic signs.
